The last of my Piggy Bank series, the Tyrannobank is the only one that never sold... because I fell in love with it myself!
All these banks are experiements in hollow-form sculpture. The body and head are both hollow spheres with layered clay decorations.
As I experiment more with glazes, I am beginning to understand them more. In the future, I would not layer light colors (turquoise and light green) over darker colors, but the subtle stripes still came out nicely.
There's something about a chubby T-Rex that gets me every time...
I have finally made something taller than a soda can!
