This is another sculpture I made for the Art Exchange I organized, an art-for-art trade between amatuer artists online.
I was going through a big "bring natural stuff into my sculpture" kick at the time, so I used a small bud from a tree, a twig and a rock to make this set. Plus the Gravekeeper's shovel is a stick.
Originally I had pictured the Gravekeeper as this huge, gaunt, stooping figure. I made the head first, and realized that the face, which exhibited such smugness, just had to go onto a short, squat body. I think the overall effect is improved by it.
