One Anthony Clark of nedroid.com writes and draws an uncomparably charming comic called "Beartato," which features the title character, an odd bear-potato sort of thing, and his friend Reginald. I decided to make them out of clay.
It's an interestng exercise, trying to transpose a very simple cartoon figure to 3D sculpture. Here's a guide by Anthony on how to draw your very own Beartato.
I am especially proud of how Reginald came out. Again, I enjoyed capturing a simple cartoon style in sculpture.
What's great about Reginald is that his attitude seems to change depending on the angle you view him from. This is his "things are looking up!" angle, I think.
Check out this completely original comic I made.
"Sweet Bearato, 0 Carbs!"
This is how big they are.
